Can your store sell non-compliant foods two days a week?
See how Michigan school stores are helping their nonprofit clubs such as DECA, FBLA, and BPA. This fundraiser exemption is not a state law but a U.S. government provision: "States shall have the flexibility to set a certain number of fundraisers that can sell foods or beverages that do not meet the nutrition standards." Ask your state rep and district administration to clarify, and think how sustainable your store could be with that fundraising.
Contests and awards
Every year school stores and cafes compete in our marketing contests. See all the contests and winners, the school stores of the month, the DECA, BPA, and FBLA conference travel award winners, and congratulations to the six Guam school stores.
